I don't know what went wrong, but I didn't have a recent copy of my game backed up, and my PC was having issues (hard drive was failing.) I only had an earlier version of this save backed up - and Jackson is still a child in that save.
So I've decided to do an alternate timeline. I can't abandon this family, they're my favourite Sims family of all time.
I've kept my old gameplay posts and will finish off uploading those, there are really funny moments in some of them, and I don't want to lose those as well.
But they are no longer the "official" timeline.
